UCI GranFondo World Series in Villars

In the heart of the Alpes Vaudoises, the famous mountain resort of Villars is the setting for a weekend of festivities for cycling enthusiasts.

With two different race formats (time trial and road race) and three different routes, this event is aimed at both competitive riders and amateur cyclists looking for a personal challenge or a family day out to share their passion for cycling (in all its forms!).

Get ready for a challenge as demanding as it is spectacular through the Alpes Vaudoises: the route will take participants over legendary passes such as the Col de la Croix, the Col du Pillon, the Col du Mittelberg and the Col des Mosses via the Hongrin, in a breathtaking setting.

These routes, used by the pros in the Tour de Suisse and the Tour de France, will offer a unique immersion into the world of elite cycling. Accessible and inclusive, the event will give everyone the chance to excel, with a possible qualification for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships in their sights.

In Villars, on the Place du Rendez-Vous, the exhibitors' village will liven up the day with its partner stands, foodtrucks and plenty of entertainment, in a friendly and festive atmosphere.

FRIDAY 27 JUNE 2025 - 16:00: A time trial between Villars-sur-Ollon and the Col de la Croix. Participants will set off from the charming village of Villars-sur-Ollon (Centre des Sports des Tennis - Rochegrises) on a 7km course with a 470m climb to finish this time trial at the summit of the Col de la Croix.

SUNDAY 29 JUNE 2025 - A long-distance race starting from Villars-sur-Ollon. There are two magnificent courses of varying difficulty starting from the Place du Rendez-vous in Villars-sur-Ollon:

• The GRANFONDO: 150 km | 3'700mD+ | Start at 7.30am
• The MEDIOFONDO: 100 km | 2'600mD+ | Start at 7.45am
