Festival la Folia
Eglise Saint-Nicolas
Route Cantonale
1659 Rougemont
It has been put together by exhibition curators Anne-Gaëlle Villet and Karina Queijo in the context of Cluny and the Cluniac sites, of which Payerne and Rougemont are a part, applying for UNESCO World Heritage status. The aim of the exhibition is to introduce the public to the mother abbey of Cluny and its exceptional network of medieval sites throughout Europe. It focuses on the nine Swiss Cluniac monasteries.
Initially created for the Payerne Abbey site, this exhibition was intended to travel to other partner sites participating in the UNESCO candidacy. This was made possible in 2024, when the exhibition was presented at Cluny itself, at the Farinier from 9 July to 10 November. It will now travel back to Rougemont, to the church of Saint-Nicolas de Myre, where it will be presented as part of the ‘La Folia’ festival from 24 May to 22 June 2025.
The exhibition's arrival in Rougemont is the result of a collaboration between the La Folia Festival, the Rougemont Church UNESCO Heritage Adherence Group and the Gruyère Pays-d'Enhaut Nature Park.
Free admission without registration during church opening hours and outside concerts.
